Carriage Mounted Spreader Bars - As the name implies, this mast consists of 3 sections. The outside part mounts firmly to the lift truck. The next middle section telescopes in the outside part. The innermost part telescopes inside of the intermediate section. The internal part and the middle part both elevate while the lift cylinders extend. Once again in this model, the fork carriage rides inside the interior section. The 3 stage mast provides a shorter lowered height than the 2 stage mast. The common usage of the 3 stage mast is in areas like doorways where overhead clearances are restricted. The 2 Stage Mast includes two sections. The inner part telescopes inside of the outer and raises as the lift cylinders extend.
